Start Smart and be Ready! | School Supply Distribution

Please join us in enriching the educational experience of Montgomery County students who attend Title I schools. 

We are asking for donated backpacks, pencils, loose leaf paper, folders, glue sticks, erasers, scissors, binders, hand sanitizer, boxed tissue, rulers, crayons, and composition books.​

STEM Summer Career Discovery Program and Workshop in Collaboration with Howard University
Friday, August 14, 2020 - Virtual

A special thank you to Howard University and Dr. Preethi Chandran for making this program such a valuable experience for our students!

​You can view a synopsis of the program and testimonials on 
Howard University's website!

This program provides a great opportunity for high school and early college-aged students to:
  • Learn more about STEM fields​
  • Do a hands-on STEM activity (kits are provided)
  • Have personal Q&A and build relationships with Dr. Preethi Chandran from Howard University and Dr. Otto Wilson from Catholic University
  • Learn how to prepare for college
  • Network with peers
  • Student participants receive a $25 gift card for back-to-school supplies and earn a Certificate of Completion of the program

Program will occur from 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM with a lunch break included. We have a limited number of kits available, so please register no later than Tuesday, August 11, 2020!

Our workshops will encourage and empower students to acquire the advanced skills needed to succeed in the future.

Seasonal Community Outreach Project for Refugees 
​XCIP in partnership with GapBuster, Inc. and Heart of Tabitha Foundation:
An ongoing service project to offer free support to Refugees and families in need in the
